In 2017, after recognizing that nearly 70% of the people that use Bubble on a daily basis use it for workplace communication, we began working on a better, more secure, and more feature-rich messaging app that meets the needs and demands of businesses. Later in 2017, the first version of Pronto was released and has since matured into a terrific product with a rapidly growing customer base. Given our business’s finite resources–and to allow our team to more adequately support the growing Pronto customer base–it is no longer feasible to both continuously improve and support both Pronto and Bubble.

Bubble was shut down on April 16, 2021 at 9am PDT.

Timeline:

• March 17: Begin notifying customers of Bubble shutdown
• March 24: Remove Bubble from app stores. No new downloads.
• April 16: Bubble servers are turned off. The Bubble app will still open but will be non-functional.

Pronto is our replacement for Bubble. Both Bubble and Pronto were built on the same original code base, but Pronto has since evolved into a much feature rich app. It does everything that Bubble does, plus:

Pronto is a paid product, but as a long-time Bubble customer we’d be happy to work with you on a free pilot period and reasonable rates for your organization.

We’ve made the migration from Bubble to Pronto very easy. We can migrate any group from Bubble directly into Pronto and preserve all users, messages, files, photos, and videos that were shared. You will be able to keep using those groups in Pronto as you did in Bubble.

If you do not wish to migrate to Pronto, you can still save your photos and videos: Simply go into the settings for a group in Bubble, scroll down to the bottom to see all the photos and videos shared in the group. When you see one you want to keep, tap it, press the share icon in the upper right, and then select “Save Image”.
